Peptidci

Peptitler (Grekçe: πεπτίδια; “ufak tefek sindirilebilirler”) tanımlanmış bir düzende, α-amino asitlerin birbirine rabıtlanmasıyla oluşan endamsız polimerlerdir.[1] Bir amino hamız lakırtııntısı ile öbürü arasındaki bağ bir “amit bağ” veya peptit bağı olarak bilinir.[1]

Tetrapeptit (Oligopeptit)
Proteinler polipeptit molekülleridir (veya çok nüshada polipeptit ast birimi barındırır). Asliye ayrım peptitlerin endamsız, polipeptitlerin/proteinlerin ise uzun olmasıdır.[1]

Protein sentezi sırasında her amino hamız, öteki amino asite baki, kırılmayan bir polimer olan polipeptid zincirleriyle rabıtlanır. Polipeptid konstrüksiyonsına acımasızlan amino asitlerin her biri konstrüksiyonya peptid rabıtlarıyla rabıtlanır. Peptid bağının oluşumu sırasında amino asitlerden birinin amino grubu ile diğerinin karboksil grubu, aradan bir ab çıkması sonucu birleşirler.[1]

Yaklaşık bir polipeptit zinciri 450 amino asitten oluşur.[1] Bilinen en uzun polipeptit, ortalama 27,000 amino asitten oluşan, kas dokusunda bulunan “titin”dir. Polipeptid zincirine acımasızlan amino asitlere lakırtııntı (residue) adı verilir.[1] Zincirin bir ucundaki lakırtııntı, bağ yapmamış, hür amino grubu barındırır ve N ucu olarak adlandırılır. Aynı şekilde zincirin öteki ucundaki hür α-karboksil grubu olan lakırtııntıevet C ucu adı verilir.
